Featured Series 2013: The Mokkers

The Mokkers come up with two stomping pounders on black wax. Combining a nice touch of surf guitar with dreamy lyrics, the songs paint a dreamy landscape that is hard to escape from.

This is not your usual blend of music but something genuinely homegrown combining dirty garage, haunted surf, hypnotising girlgroup oohh-aahhs and bedroom daydreams into catchy uptempo and swirling tunes.

Running through dark woods chased by the sound of wild screaming indian howls, the A-side Indians gives you this haunted feeling as if you were lost in the streets of an unknown city, where danger lurks around every corner, trying to find your way back home knowing that you probably won't make it.
The B-side Wish I Could has this equally eerie undertone with a deep bass growling though the grooves while the harmonica follows you like a demon through the night.

Fear no long and dready fadeouts though, the Mokkers know how to wake you up as if you were hitting the floor falling out of bed while dreaming.
